This SEN Teaching Assistant role is a great opportunity for you to use your experience working with additional needs in a brilliant setting, where you will receive outstanding support from a committed team of staff. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will beproviding learning support for students, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. You will be assisting the teacher in the classroom with delivering the lesson and with managing the behaviour of the students. The college places great emphasis on making theeducation of its students fun and creative, but also applicable to practical purposes. As a result, there are regular work-related-learning days that the pupils attend, involving a number of vocational placements. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will accompanythe students to these placements and assist them as necessary.
You do not need a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant qualification for this role, however experience working in SEN is vital. It is imperative that you have a deep understanding of the additional needs of the students, which include ADHD, Autism, PTSD, PDA, ODD,Dyslexia and Attachment Disorder. The college is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking, patient SEN Teaching Assistant that can communicate with the students and form bonds with them exceptionally well. The SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

- Assisting teachers with learning support in the classroom
- Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Aiding the pastoral team by providing wellbeing support
- Interventions for pupils who require additional support
- Develop good rapport with pupils as an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Demonstrate excellent understanding of the additional needs of the pupils
