**The Role**

Are you an experienced IT Project Manager seeking a challenging and rewarding role within a fast-paced environment? Do you have a proven track record in delivering IT projects on time, on budget and to a high quality? If so, Winchester City Council and TestValley Borough Council are looking for you

This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The key responsibilities of an IT Project Manager include, but are not limited to:

- Manage a project portfolio of up to £150K projects, to budget, quality and time constraints, in accordance with the Councils’ project management methodology.
- Lead and deliver complex projects with cross-functional collaboration, impacting a number of technical systems and third parties, simultaneously.
- Ensure that appropriate project governance is in place, adhered to and continually reviewed, so it’s relevant and fit for purpose.
- Proactively manage positive stakeholder engagement and work effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders, understanding and supporting their requirements alongside the project deliverables
- Develop and maintain project management artefacts (e.g. Business case, Plans, Logs and Registers, Charts, Reports etc.) to a high standard
- Provide support, mentoring and guidance on best practice Project Management methodology and disciplines throughout the IT Shared Service.
- Provide support to IT Senior Management Team.

**The Person**

The key skills and qualities of an IT Project Manager are:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience and proven track record of project delivery.
- Demonstrable experience of project management with an IT focus.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the Authority.
- Ability to work as a teammember and equally be a highly motivated self-starter.
- Analytical in preparing, analysing and reporting data in metric form.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships.
- Industry recognised qualification or training in project management, for example, PRINCE 2 methodology or similar.
