You will also; - Have prior experience in Sports Coaching - Be an excellent team player - Have a fun and positive character - Have the ability to work flexibly **About the Role** We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Sports Coach to join our fun Children and Young People team. The role is offered on a casual baisis and the hourly rate is £14.30.- To deliver fun, innovative and engaging sporting activities - Plan appropriate sessions across all age groups - Ensure health and safety standards are always met - Building positive relationships with parents and teachers - Making sure that child progression is the focal point when delivering every session - Helping out with one off sporting activities and events across the YMCA - Collaborating with other team members across the YMCA where needed **Safeguarding responsibilities** - This role will involve daily contact with children, and you will be engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. - All staff and volunteers have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, and/or vulnerable adults for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact. - The Charity’s Safeguarding Policy is available from Central YMCA website. - Regulated activity: This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Charity is therefore permitted to ask shortlisted applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) to assess their suitability to work with children.
