We are currently looking for a Food Specifications Technologist.
In a nutshell, you will be busy.
Delivering of the administrative needs of the Technical department. Supporting the technologist in managing customer accounts
On a daily basis you will be:

- Specification & System Management of the raw materials and finished goods
- Fulfilling customer system requirements
- Checking that B.O.M. matches range documentation and that range documentation matches specification
- Review of customer systems for updates of Codes of Practice, reviewing content and sharing with account Technologist
- Completion of Quality Attribute sheets and any other technical documentation required by the customer.
- Checking artwork and packaging against agreed Pack copy, Legal and Company requirements and Ingredient Specifications ensuring any non-compliance with the specification is reported and followed up Reporting
- Support the Commercial team with technical input and dialogue
- Analytical reporting of customer metrics
- Quality assurance data; collection and dissemination to the wider business Wider responsibilities
- Work closely with account teams, Procurement, Production and NPD particularly in relation to customer facing elements e.g. pre productions, specification sign-off, visits and peak support
- Support with “chill” validation for home delivery Internal Technical systems - Support to ensure technical/quality systems remain robust and up to date
- Participation in internal audit schedule and traceability exercises

What you can already do;
- Good level of higher learning and/or equivalent work experience
- High level of IT literacy with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Food Safety Level 2, HACCP level 2
- Strong administrative, numerical, literacy and oral communication skills
- Excellent organisational, problem solving and analytical skills
- Previous experience with food processing/manufacturing Awareness of food tolerances and allergen control Experience of M&S FIND Specification system is beneficial
