This is an exciting opportunity to provide a dedicated and comprehensive administrative service to the Head of Future Workforce and the wider team within Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW). The Future Workforce Officer will support the delivery of several innovative projects and programmes of work, including the hugely successful Careersville and the NHS Wales careers website, to develop knowledge and understanding of careers and training opportunities available across NHS Wales. This will include widening access and other routes into education, training and ‘grow your own’ schemes. The post holder will ensure the team’s portfolio of tasks and projects are planned, managed and delivered effectively to meet, and exceed where possible, the complex business needs of HEIW. The post holder will support robust communication and stakeholder management, engaging with a wide ranging and diverse group of individuals and organisations across NHS Wales and other partner organisations, producing work to deadlines whilst ensuring compliance with HEIW policies and procedures. The post holder will provide support to the Head of Future Workforce for the organisation’s development and delivery of the NHS Wales Careers work programme. The post holder will be expected to work independently, using their own initiative to manage their own portfolio of work, working within defined policies and procedures. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is the strategic workforce body for NHS Wales with statutory functions that include education and training, workforce planning, workforce development and transformation, leadership and succession planning, and careers.
