**Colchester** as a Secondary School 1-1 Learning Support Assistant.

**About the Role**:
As a Secondary School 1-1 Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to a specific student, ensuring they receive the attention and assistance they require to succeed academically and thrive personally.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-to-one support to a specific student, tailoring your approach to meet their individual learning needs and abilities.
- Assist the student in understanding and completing their assignments, promoting their engagement in learning.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans for the student.
- Foster a supportive and positive relationship with the student, encouraging their confidence and self-belief.
- Monitor and record the student's progress, reporting back to the relevant staff to ensure the effectiveness of the support provided.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or similar role, providing one-to-one support to students.
- A patient and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for supporting students' learning and well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a strong rapport with the student and collaborate with teachers and parents.
- Adaptability and flexibility, able to adjust support strategies to suit the student's individual needs.
- A strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the well-being of the student at all times.
- Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
