**Quantity Surveyor**

Due to continued growth P. P. O’Connor are recruiting _**Quantity Surveyors**_, based at our offices in Trafford Park, Manchester - with the requirements to travel to and from sites.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family owned and run company, that has successfully grown and continues to grow.

**Responsibilities for the Quantity Surveying role**:

- To effectively administer the commercial aspects of the contract in accordance with the parameters and time-frames as set out in the contract - NEC, JCT, etc..
- Measurement take offs.
- Procurement of subcontractors.
- Prepare and monitor the Procurement Schedule.
- Subcontractor assessment and payment certificates.
- Monthly analysis and cash-flow control.
- Production of cost and value forecasting.
- Instruct accounts to pay subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare 'rolling’ final account throughout project and agree at PC.
- Close out financial account and retention releases.
- Prepare final account reconciliation, create regular budget and price updates and prepare the monthly cost and progress report.
- Internal reporting and interim CVR’s.
- Report to Commercial Director.

**Qualification, Experience and Requirements for Quantity Surveying role**:

- Recognised related qualification.
- Strong commercial skills and awareness.
- Ability to work autonomously, without supervision.
- Civils experience and knowledge.
- 5 years minimum experience working as a Project Quantity Surveyor.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Membership to a professional body e.g. RICS (desirable).
