**Software Developer - C#, Java - Mobile Communications**

Our client is seeking a software developer to join their lively and dynamic development team. They develop Service Assurance solutions to mobile telecom operators around the world. The solutions process and store billions of events a day and are truly 'Bigdata’ systems. You will join a team working with leading development frameworks including Apache Spark, Apache Storm, and Kafka, deployed on large cluster environments. The development area spans across both Windows.NET and Linux platforms using C#, Javaand Scala as the primary development languages. The position can extend to learn about micro service architecture utilising leading edge containerised Linux instances orchestrated by Kubernetes.

Their development teams are divided into several multi-disciplinary sub teams covering a suite of solutions organised into vertical delivery streams supporting a full CI/CD pipeline using an Agile development process.

**Duties and Responsibilities - Software Developer**:

- Design and develop software primarily in Java or C# for Windows or Linux systems.
- Working on advanced algorithms running across large volumes of data, producing robust product code and designs that demonstrate new ideas and technologies and working with the business to help bring new products to market
- Participate in design reviews, feature, and release content reviews.
- Participate in sprint planning, story estimation and sprint retrospectives in a multi-disciplined Agile product team.
- Provide support to the wider multifunctional team that includes DevOps, Product management, product Documentation, Support and Service teams.

**Required Qualifications & Experience - Software Developer**:

- Must have a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
- Excellent English-language including written and verbal communication skills
- Software development experience using C# or Java on Windows and/or Linux
- Intelligent, enthusiastic, positive, and willing to learn
- That’s it, the rest can be picked up 'on the job’

**_Desired but not essential: _**Some knowledge of mobile telecoms’, including 5G, LTE, core and or RAN systems. Ideally having worked on systems in areas such as network planning, network optimization, protocol analysis or other softwarethat supports the network technology.
- Knowledge of Oracle, Vertica, Postgres
- Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and complimentary technologies, Redis, Kafka, Apache Storm, Apache Spark
- Experience developing and using RESTful APIs supporting JSON or XML
