Accu is seeking a forward-thinking Lead Engineer with a specialism in (Robotics & Automation) to spearhead our expansion into this exciting sector.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape Accu’s role within one of the fastest-growing areas of engineering. From identifying breakthrough products and onboarding innovative suppliers, to building partnerships with leading technology providers, you’ll be instrumental in driving our robotics and automation strategy.

You’ll also play a key role in engaging the robotics community through technical content, STEM outreach, and industry events — inspiring the next generation of engineers while strengthening Accu’s reputation as a trusted partner in precision components.

**Key Responsibilities**

**New Product & Supplier Onboarding**
- Identify opportunities in robotics and automation, expanding Accu’s product portfolio.
- Help Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, managing the end-to-end process.
- Help Negotiate commercial and technical terms, including MOQs, pricing, and specifications.
- Ensure seamless integration of new products into Accu’s catalogue.

**Specialist Category Development**
- Lead the expansion of robotics and automation ranges.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
- Use insights to shape the category roadmap and drive product strategy.

**Strategic Partnerships**
- Build strong relationships with key brands and technology providers.
- Explore partnership models, exclusivity agreements, and co-branded initiatives.
- Position Accu as a trusted partner in the robotics and automation community.

**Technical Content Creation**
- Collaborate with marketing to create technical resources, product guides, and explainer videos.
- Develop educational materials tailored to engineers, makers, and the robotics community.

**STEM & Industry Engagement**
- Champion Accu’s STEM outreach programmes in robotics and automation.
- Deliver workshops and support events at schools, universities, and exhibitions.
- Promote engineering education and inspire the next generation of innovators.

**Innovation & Event Support**
- Participate in robotics and automation projects, competitions, and demonstrations.
- Support product showcases at industry events and exhibitions.

**Team Collaboration**
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align robotics and automation initiatives with Accu’s global growth strategy.
- Report directly to the Global Head of Product Strategy.

**About You**
- Strong knowledge of robotics, automation, or mechanical/electrical engineering.
- Proven experience in category management, product development, or supplier onboarding.
- Excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and opportunities.
- Comfortable building partnerships and representing Accu in industry settings.
- Passionate about STEM, innovation, and driving engagement in technology.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, both technical and customer-facing.
