Warehouse Manager

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Manager for our client in Slough.Standard hours are 0830 - 1630 Monday to Friday but flexibility is required.
Role: Ecommerce Warehouse Manager Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated E-commerce Warehouse Manager to manage daily warehouse operation; team recruiting and management; training the warehouse staff for shipping orders and directing tasks.
Responsibilities Overview - Oversee all daily warehouse operations, ensuring tasks, duties & responsibilities are completed as required - Organise the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products - Ensure inventories are accurate by organisingphysical counts and reconciling these with the stock count recorded in our warehouse management system - Establish processes and policies around movements of inventories provide visibility and traceability of these actions - Ensure Health & Safety meets therequired standards and that risk assessments are carried out - Manage the warehouse staff ensuring adherence to the company’s policies and processes, including all the Health & Safety policies in place - Conduct Performance Reviews with the team members toassess and discuss their performance as well as to provide advice on opportunities for improvement - Propose and maintain KPIs, performance reports for training and performance review purposes - Improve the efficiency of the warehouse and the level of serviceto our customers wherever possible - Update the processes, policies & procedures relevant to the warehouse where applicable - Ensure any IT systems are accurate and in line with the operational and regulatory requirements - Contribute to new business initiativesand projects and provide advice on their impact on the warehouse activities Responsibilities by Area Staff Management - Manage, train and develop warehouse staff to optimise performance to meet targets and project deadlines - Communicate with warehouse staffon a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets and operational requirements - Address any staff issues e.g. performance issues, disciplinary issues, etc. - Identify the need for new staff members as and when required - Assist in staff hiring,training & development; in particular with regular training. - Approve all Warehouse staff holidays - Regularly review staff Job Descriptions, Training Documents and Templates - Incentivise and motivate staff and maintaining a positive working environmente.g. deliver regular business updates, conduct staff performance reviews, arrange team events, award bonuses, etc.
Job Description - Warehouse Manager Last Reviewed: February 2021 Warehouse Management - Ensure waste disposal collections are made on time and when due; address any issues with company directly and raise the issue with Finance if required. - Placing ordersfor Warehouse supplies either directly with Purchasing or with the appropriate person (currently Operations Director) - Assisting with accepting deliveries for large item/s and/or Warehouse - Help manage storage solutions; manage Warehouse space effectivelyand help forecast better solutions to storage issues as and when required e.g. Warehouse relocation - Allocating shelving for New Brands and new lines added to existing brands, delegating tasks where required - Management of the assembly of all bespoke Promotional& Marketing stock in the Warehouse - Check Supplier unpacks as and when required to ensure reports sent to Purchasing are as accurate as possible. - Liaise with suppliers and other third parties as and when required when issues arise e.g. Suppliers, maintenancecompanies, etc, or escalate to the appropriate person. - Responsible for securing the Warehouse at the end of each day, unless clearly delegated to another member of staff. - Continually try to improve and develop warehouse operational performance
