**Job summary**:
The Head of the Digital, Data and Automation team is responsible for designing and implementing UKStratComs automation and data strategies whilst also leading the development of capability in both domains across the TLB. Acting as the interface with Defence Digital in both the MOD CIO space and within the capability delivery space. This a great opportunity to join a team that has the unique position to influence key decisions and discussions taking place at the highest level across the TLB. You will be working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including other TLBs/FLCs, UKStratComs HLB and other DDaT professionals across Defence.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
Main Aspects of the role include:
Leading, developing and delivering UKStratCom Digital, Data and Automation Strategy.

Capability Coherence - Working across the TLB to provide a coherent authoritative approach for the roll out of all core ICT (MODNET Official and Secret) equipment which is delivered by Defence Digital (DD). Working closely with DD to ensure that these meet the needs of the Cmd. Create and manage the associated TLB policies and associated assurances

Automation Strategy and Development - Identify, develop and drive the delivery of a pan TLB automation strategy focused on the applicability of both mature and emergent technology. Work alongside key delivery partners such as the Automation CoE, other TLB/FLC automation garages to harness collective capabilities.

Acting as UKStratCom lead on pan Defence DDaT meetings.

Advising and supporting UKStratComs CIO

Line management responsibility for the Digital, Data and Automation Team, providing clear direction and guidance.

- Leadership - you will need to provide evidence of strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, support and motivate a team to meet deadlines and deliver outcomes successfully.
- Delivering outcomes - you will need to demonstrate how you proactively take ownership and accountability for ensuring the effective delivery of outcomes and decisions. You will be a confident decision maker, exercising sound judgement and the ability to challenge information in a constructive manner appropriate to the situation.
