My client is currently recruiting for a Trainee Freight Account Manager working within a busy Imports / exports freight department based in their Freight offices in Dartford

The role of trainee Account Manager will involve both import and export, and with training you will handle all operational aspects of a shipment. Liaising with both external and internal customers and suppliers.

Your main duties will involve.
- Check that shipping documents are present and in order
- Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents and other forwarding agents
- Dealing directly with customer enquiries and resolving as soon as possible
- Completing job costing, both raising invoices and accruing purchases
- Arranging Customs clearances and customer deliveries
- Build relationships with the client and seeking further opportunities
- Overall general administration and telephone work

You will have good administration experience and be keen and eager to learn the freight forwarding cycle. You will be will able to demonstrate attention to detail along with an analytical/logical approach with the ability to prioritise workload. Education toGCSE level standard or above. Computer literate & Excel competent. On the job/in house training will be provided.

Salary and Benefits:

- £18,000
- Contributory Pension
- Hours: We offer a flexible range of hours as shown below:

- 8.00am - 4.00pm: Monday to Friday with a 45-minute lunch break each day
- 9.00am - 5.00pm: Monday to Friday with a 45-minute lunch break each day
- 10.00am - 6.00pm: Monday to Friday with a 45-minute lunch break each day
