Gilbert Meher are delighted to be working with one of the UK’s leading providers of support for people with Learning disabilities, Autism and PMLD, who are recruiting for an Interim Service Manager for one of their residential services based in North West London.
Overview
Role: Service Manager
Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Contract Type: Interim
Daily Rate: up to £450 per day
The service manager will oversee the day to day running of the service, including line management of a deputy manager and team of support workers.
The service supports people aged 18+ with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), communication and sensory impairments, mobility issues and complex health needs including epilepsy.
The team work in partnership with individuals to identify the support they require with regards to physical, emotional, cultural, cognitive and communication needs. Individuals are supported to develop person-centred plans that promote increased choice, controlover their lives and independence.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years of working with people with Learning Disabilities or Mental Health needs
- Person centered planning processes
- Budget management including managing money in the service
- Record keeping within a social care setting
- Running a service and meeting all relevant quality standards including Health and Safety, Medication, internal and external auditing
- The ability to work shifts in a flexible manner revolving around the service user needs, which will include evening, weekend and sleep-in work.
