This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to work within the Translational Radiobiology (TRB) group. The successful applicant will participate in a research programme that supports the aims of CRUK RadNet Manchester.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual from a biological sciences background with experience of working on clinical research projects. The purpose of the role is to support the translational research for an enlarging portfolio of clinical studies, examples include CRAIN, TRAIN, BIOCHECC, RO-PIP and MR-BIO.

Working within a team of researchers and clinicians, you will be the HTA lead responsible for logging, tracking and processing clinical samples across different tumour sites e.g. prostate, bladder, cervix and central nervous system (CNS); both tumour biopsies and liquid samples. There will also be the opportunity to support the development and the validation of other methodologies within the group for analysis of clinical samples. The post holder will need a strong eye for detail, extremely organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
