**Senior Network Engineer**:

- **Contract (6 months - outside IR35)**:

- **£450 - £500 per day**:

- **Remote (but ideally located within commutable distance to Edinburgh or Glasgow)**

My public service client is looking for a Senior Network Engineer on a contract basis for an initial 6 months to support them on their journey, as they transform their business from on-premise to cloud based products and services.

As part of this transformation, they require a Network Engineer to support the migration from their existing Cisco platform to Arista, as well as ongoing environment improvements.

Other tasks include the migration to NSX-T to support network virtualization stack for Docker, Kubernetes etc. as well as AWS native workloads.

Essential Skills and Experience required:
Networking
- Substantial experience with Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto and Juniper MX
- Routing & switching
- Common design topologies for layer 2 & 3 services
- Palo Alto firewall administration
- Experience with Campus wired and WIFI deployments
- Strong knowledge of OSPF design together with performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of BGP design and operational management

Requirement for network engineering services
- Expertise with data centre management and best practices
- Experience with VMware Network
- Certified to at least CCNP
- Knowledge and experience of Agile working, including such disciplines as Kanban, feedback, retrospectives, VFQ.
- Risk aware, focused on risk reduction and mitigation
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective team working and technical decision making
