We are looking to recruit **Youth/Child Support Workers **in **Wigan and Leigh **offering a range of contracts from bank staff to 10, 20, 25, 30, 35 hour contracts. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£10.50 an hour base, £11 an hour weekends, £15.75 bank holidays.**

**The Youth/Child Support Worker Role**

Crossroads Care North West is a registered charity that supports children, young people, adults and the elderly in their own home and the community. As a Carer Support Worker working in Wigan, you will be providing support to carers and children on a regular basis. Your hours of work will be flexible and are usually worked of an evening and weekend when the children are not at school/college and during the school holidays. We deliver services in Wigan and Leigh.

**As our Youth/Child Support Worker you will need**:

- A driving licence and vehicle
- A caring nature
- Flexible and committed to providing an excellent service
- Able to develop good working relationships with clients
- Able to work independently and demonstrate care and respect
- Good communication skills
- To provide support flexibly throughout the week including evenings and weekends

**Responsibilities as our Youth/Child Support Worker will include**:

- To support children with social activities throughout Wigan and Leigh
- To provide support to carers and the people with care needs
- To provide emotional support and guidance
- To provide personal care and support with medication and meals (if required).
