We are a service for adults aged 18 and over who are living with a learning disability and have additional needs such as epilepsy, complex physical / social difficulties, or sensory impairment. We also support people who have autism, or people with behaviourthat may challenge.
Our service offers a broad spectrum of tailored day opportunities through centre-based and community activities, helping people to improve their social skills and participate in new experiences. We are passionate about people and deliver person-centred carethrough extensive therapeutic approaches and fun, stimulating activity based support.
We encourage people using our service to be actively involved in the planning of their care and help them to live more meaningful lives by supporting them with building their confidence and achieving their goals.
**What you will be responsible for**
Communicate effectively and appropriately with people who use The MyTime service, colleagues and other professionals.
Report any accident, incident, or untoward occurrence relating to the people who attend MyTime, visitors or staff.
Attend to care needs identified within the care plan ensuring respect, privacy, and dignity at all times.
Help to maintain/develop relationships between individuals and their families/carers/others.
**You will have the following qualification/experience**:
A minimum of 6 months experience of working as a Care Support Worker in a UK hospital environment within the last 2 years and either a Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social OR
12 months experience of working as a Care Support Worker in a UK hospital environment in the last 3 years.
Specific experience of working with patients that have learning disabilities or mental health conditions.
**We also offer a £150 bonus for starting a contract with SCS. Furthermore, if you know anyone looking for work and you refer them across, we offer a £250 referral bonus per person.
