Care for a gentleman in his 30s with Bethlem Muscular Dystrophy.
The live in care role requires 24/7 however breaks are provided.

The role itself is live-in on weekly (Wednesday to Wednesday) or fortnightly shift patterns. As the carer you will be required to remain in the property or with the client unless on free time (2hours a day).

The client follows a fully plant-based diet however it is not a requirement for you to follow suit. Culinary skills are required for the role as fresh meals are prepared most of the time, occasional batch meals.

Tasks

PA live-in for 1 or 2 weeks at a time (Wednesday arrive 10:30am to Wednesday), handover 30min to incoming PA.

Require preparation for the day to start 8.30am, occasionally early start is maybe required 7am due to appointments.

Client morning routine starts at 9.00am, decided the night before, depends on day's activities, time arrival for appointment, travel ect.

Client requires full support around:
Hoist transfers using slings and ceiling track hoist

Washing (shower chair/commode),

Transfers via ceiling track hoist using sliding sheets

skin integrity manage

dressing occasionally assistance to place ankle and knee splints on

after BM hygiene

household cleaning tasks

fresh meal preparation,

support in the community.

Client may need occasional require support during the night.

Client might require support during the night with repositioning and moving with ceiling track hoist.

Someone with a full clean Driving licence preferably lives within 1 hour from location (Peterborough, Hampton). No one who requires relocation,

Unfortunately, sponsoring is not an option for the client.

Must have use of own vehicle to and from work (off road parking is provided).

Client requires 3 new care assistants cover throughout the year at 10 weeks each, maybe additional weeks available.

Moving and handling /training experience proffered.

Gross Pay is £950.00 to £1,299.48 per week gross, depending on experience. This is based on self-employed basis that can declare to HMRC.
