**About the Role**

We are currently looking to recruit a **Maintenance Operative** to carry out all aspects of scheduled and unscheduled general maintenance as required. To receive and priorities Tower 10 calls and ensure all jobs are complete or handed to applicable team member or relevant Supervisor/Team Leader. Provide assistance and support to all other maintenance team members as required and to undertake PPMs as instructed.

**(NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade is a minimum requirement)**

Main Responsibilities:
1. Operations
- Undertake all aspects of scheduled and unscheduled general maintenance tasks as required
- Assist when needed will all aspects of compliance maintenance as required such as PAT, Legionella monitoring, emergency light testing and RCD testing
- Carry out general maintenance and assist engineers or other trades as required to ensure high standards of product availability, operational presentation and customer satisfaction.
- Considers other departments requirements and provides guidance and support as appropriate.
- Ensure maintenance work is within all relevant legislation, guidelines and code of practice and that all procedures are adhered to.
- Infor worksheets are complete detailing exact nature of work carried out.
- Carries out fault diagnosis as necessary within the limitations of own ability.

2. Marketing
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure best service.
- To develop and maintain an appropriate knowledge of business operation and activities.

3. Financial
- Assist with methods of working differently in order to maximise resources on site.

4. Development
- Actively supports new approaches and innovative solutions for maintenance issues.
- Assist in providing long term solutions for replacement of obsolete equipment by staying abreast of modern developments within the industry.

5. People
- Promote a culture which encourages input and initiatives by completing appraisals and objectives.
- Develop effective paths of two-way communication seeking ways of developing good service and delivery.
- Promotes the company standards and values.
- Consider your own training needs to enable you to keep at the forefront of modern technology and safety standards.
- Ensure that maintenance is carried out within relevant legislation, guidelines and code of practice and that all procedures are adhered to.
- Proactively seeks to update personal skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrates commitment to company standards and values, and promotes effective working.
- Is approachable, while developing a team environment, which retains its professionalism.
- Builds effective working relationships with the team.

6. Health & Safety

In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained.
