We’re looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member, to work as a Kitchen Porter within our busy kitchen. In this role, you’d be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out. Your role will be to operate our commercial dishwasher and ensure clean hygienic crockery is returned to where it is needed.

**Hours**:This role is an hourly paid, fixed term position. Wherever possible, we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we're looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We'd give you as much notice of this as possible. The role will include weekends and Bank Holidays, however, there are no evenings or split shifts.

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour.

**Duration**:Fixed Term Contract until 2 November 2025

What you'll be doing:As a Kitchen Porter, your main focus will be back of house, in our designated washing up area.

With your love of working with people, your ‘can-do’ attitude and your desire to work at pace in a busy environment, you’ll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that’s constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial. You’ll be keen to understand what people want, to help the operation run smoothly.

You’ll always keep the standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen high. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food. We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role.
