Castle Dairies is a Butter Manufacturer based in Caerphilly. It is proud to produce award winning products for major retailers and food service.

We have an exciting role for a Quality Auditor at Castle Dairies working a 7day fortnight shift pattern days and nights on a 12hr shift pattern.

Week 1 Rotation:
Sun, Wed & Thu

Week 2 Rotation:
Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the quality standards, customer and legislative requirements are met.

**Key Reasonability’s**
- Developing and implementing quality control audit plans.
- Ensuring that the products comply with company standards.
- Develop/update QAS’s when required.
- Develop, implement and review work instructions and SOP’s when required.
- Evaluating and training production employees on quality standards and procedures.
- Conduct and manage weekly internal taste panel and shelf-life samples.
- Review current process’ and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
- Assist with NPD/EPD trails and product launches.
- Carry out adequate sampling (Nutritional/micro analysis) for any NPD
- Communicate with the contract laboratory to ensure micro analysis and COA’s are up-to-date.
- Checking online samples of products to ensure specifications are being met.
- Verify and document online tests and quality checks on a frequent basis.
- Liaising with technical & factory managers to investigate customer complaints and issuing appropriate corrective actions.
- Conduct and Complete product out of specification reports when required.
- Reporting and recording non-conformances for investigation and ensure the appropriate corrective actions are carried out.
- Complete regular GMP and site internal audits (Internal auditing training required)
- Support internal laboratory analysis as required by the company: Intake checks on incoming material, product salt/ moisture analysis, temperature checks, etc
- Liaise and complete scale and probe calibrations with the main laboratory.
- Supporting Technical Team with preparation for BRC and Customer Site Audits.
- Help drive and maintain quality culture within the business.

**Experience/Skills**

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
