Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a private equity backed construction services business based in Greater Manchester who are looking to bring in a new Group Finance Director. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has gone throughcontinuous growth and looking to bring in a strong calibre individual who can help drive the finance function across the group towards a PE exit. This role will work closely with a high calibre CFO and the board of directors across different functions withinthe group.
Main responsibilities:

- Responsible for overall management of all finance functions across the Group including commercial; transactional finance and all other accounting/finance activities and functions
- Oversee and consolidate group financial reporting, including monthly and quarterly reports; budgeting and forecasting; 5 year financial plans and all statutory reporting
- Consolidation, preparation and presentation of monthly board reports and monthly management accounts
- Managing and developing a finance team of 20+
- Business and financial strategy and planning, monitoring, management and reporting, including management and development of policies, systems and processes
- Providing sound financial support and insights to the CEO; CFO and wider SLT to facilitate sound decision making including the PE house
- Coordinate; oversee and provide sound advice and guidance on the taxation affairs of the group
- Driving large internal projects
- Monitoring, managing, reviewing and reporting on Company cash flow
- Manage external relationships including advisors, auditors, legal, group insurance, compliance and banking arrangements
- Build and maintain positive relationships with investors
- Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, dividends annual report and accounts
- Drive new system ERP implementation across the Group

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) and have a solid technical track record of delivery within a changing environment.Experience and active participation in a private equity/ investment process would be beneficial but not crucial. You will howeverneed to have excellent core finance experience and can thrive within a fast-paced and complex environment.
