We are looking for a speech and language therapy assistant for a permanent position. The role, at present, is in clinics in east Newport and south Monmouthshire (but staff are expected to work flexibly in the department). You will have:

- well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- a basic knowledge of speech, language and communication difficulties and the role of a speech and language therapist.
- experience of working within a team.

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Speech and Language Therapy department has over 80 therapists and assistants working with a range of people with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties including speech sound disorders and developmental language disorder.

The post holder will be organised, enthusiastic and committed to personal development.

The post is based in the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy team. The role will involve supporting the Speech and Language Therapists and providing therapy to children in clinic, home or school settings.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and.or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
