A skilled Infrastructure Engineer is needed to join our team at The Central Bedfordshire Council based in Shefford.
This is a hybrid role. You will be working from home and any CBC offices, including Priory House, Shefford. You will be expected to attend a CBC office location on a monthly basis and as needed to carry out your role.

We provide a wide range of services using both cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You will maintain these solutions while developing your knowledge through designing and implementing new cloud-based services.

**About the Role**
In a rapidly changing industry, the role of Infrastructure Engineer has become increasingly important to running a complex and challenging environment with rigour.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with excellent technical and communication skills, with proven experience of supporting customers and colleagues at a 3rd line level via multiple communication channels.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- You will be used to working in a busy, fast-paced IT environment in a senior infrastructure role with solid experience in IT Infrastructure based around Microsoft Windows servers, cloud services, storage and backup technologies
- CBC is currently migrating to an Azure-based infrastructure, so previous experience in this area is highly desirable
- You will likely hold one or more of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Windows server or VMware certifications
- A confident and clear communicator, you will need to work with stakeholders across the council
- This role will suit a self-reliant team player who excels at solving complex IT issues and who is able to provide solutions across a varied array of platforms and systems
