**Job summary**:
You will join our programme focusing on the implementation of the new platform that will transform Civil Service Jobs, and help to shape how the service could be delivered in the future. We’ve completed our Discovery and Alpha phases, where we did extensive user research and prototype design, to explore our user needs and potential solutions for the biggest areas of improvement. We decided that our service needs to procure rather than build our own product, so we’ve now moved into the Beta phase which has appointed our new supplier and following build, will see a migration phase for all 219 departments to the new platform which will be completed by the end of 2026.

Cabinet Office Digital aspires to make UK Government digital services the best in the world, meeting or exceeding the benchmark set globally by the best public or private sector standards. We are creating a digital culture where user needs are at the heart of everything we build. Through data democratisation, automation, governance and consolidation we will create a better Cabinet Office.

As the digital arm of the department, we advise, assure or manage delivery on behalf of our colleagues in the Government People Group in developing their own Government Digital and Data capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to join CO Digital, to lead on business improvements and otherwise support the Cabinet Office in delivering on the country’s priorities at the heart of the UK Government.

**Job description**:
**Your role**: As a Training Specialist, you will work alongside the business change managers, our supplier and other members of the programme team to deliver the ‘Train the Trainer’ approach in ensuring the trainer in each department has been upskilled on the new service and can deliver training locally in readiness for implementation. You will be involved in a number of varied and wide-ranging activities, and will play a key role in supporting every phase of the training experience. You will assess the individual training needs of the departments in line with the new platform functionality, design and deliver effective training to the nominated trainers and support the production of central training materials. You will also support the individual trainers as they prepare to deliver local training and also monitor the effectiveness and impact of the training process, to provide recommendations for improvement.

As a centralised service we operate collaborative working arrangements across multiple government departments and agencies; you will need to identify, establish and nurture business relationships across the Civil Service and within the Cabinet Office to achieve the programme objectives.

**Our team**:Working to the Senior Business Change Lead**, **the Adoption & Utilisation team will be made up of six Business Change Managers and two Trainers. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary programme team which includes the Digital Product and Delivery team (Senior Product Manager, Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, User Researchers, User-centred Designers, QA Testers etc) and the Supplier transition team who are working directly on building and initially supporting the digital product.

Wider Cabinet Office teams you’ll interact with are the Live Service and Support team (maintaining the existing platform), account managers, the Government Recruitment Service but more broadly, this role will be the interface between the programme and the department HR functions.

This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate to work with people and is motivated by successful IT implementation in a complex environment, and who cares and can exemplify Civil Service values, in a diverse, ethical and positive working culture. In delivering recruitment transformation, our programme will enhance the recruitment service provision across government. Civil Service Jobs enables the whole of government to recruit people more efficiently, without which the government could not deliver its work: hence our service brings far-reaching benefits for all citizens who will impacted by this change. We enjoy enabling people to find meaningful jobs, and teams to find great colleagues - contributing to a diverse culture that reflects the diversity in the UK.
