We are seeking a top-class Sustainability Manager, ideally with experience within food/drink manufacturing. The ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally is key. You will be a team player, with the ability to challenge for the verybest outcome, at all levels. You must be comfortable working in a fast moving and agile environment

**Role Purpose**

The Sustainability Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a sustainability strategy for the company, using their expertise to embed sustainability across all of our activities with the aim of reducing our carbon footprint. You will workacross the business (including our suppliers and customers) to gather input from all functions, identifying opportunities, synergies, inconsistencies, and risks, and presenting proposals to the board for approval.

**Main Duties**
- Develop a Sustainability Policy and related processes
- Be the 'goto’ person for all sustainability advice and guidance
- Lead on sustainability projects
- Upskill Managers and workforce on the topic of sustainability, delivering training where needed
- Review our key impacts (water, energy, waste) and recommend solutions and targets for reductions
- Aim for continuous improvement, whilst also ensuring value for money and efficiency
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and partners, working together to improve sustainability
- Keep up to date with changes in energy regulation, legislation and best practice in the sustainability field
- Produce reports to present to Senior Managers and The Board
- Communicate, alongside Marketing/Commercial, our progress internally and to customers and consumers
- Proven track record as a Manager in sustainability, having successfully delivered strategies
- Full driving license as site visits will be required
- Ability to inspire, influence and motivate others to adopt sustainable practices
- Environmental / sustainability qualifications (Degree, Masters, industry qualifications etc.)
- Experience in a food manufacturing setting would be beneficial
- Excellent project management and influencing skills
- Excel and PowerPoint (data analysis, presentation of insight) skills
- Analytical thinking with the ability to distil information and drive action
