Senior Sourcing Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for you to lead a brand-new Sourcing team. You will need a detailed understanding of EU procurement methods, systems and procedures.

Influential in client relationships, you will use your skills, knowledge and experience to take the lead on end to end procurement activity and delivery.

**What you will be doing**:

- Develops and embeds best practice sourcing
- Supports the design, build, and run of SBS SAP Ariba
- Understands and deploys all SAP Ariba appropriate functionality
- Ensures compliance with all relevant Regulations
- Leads the ongoing development and management of the Sourcing/Category Team RACI (to confirm specific roles, responsibilities, handover points and areas of joint working between the Sourcing and Category Teams)
- Works closely with the Category Teams to drive costs down and quality and service up
- Manages supplier/external evaluators onboarding, activity and queries
- Maintains high-quality, flexible and responsive service delivery standards, ensuring sensitivity and responsiveness, balanced against cost effectiveness
- Delivers locally agreed targets, efficiencies and added value initiatives through focussed professional management
- Works with the ecommerce team to monitor process cycle/time and outputs to this due to changes/developments in sourcing process against agreed targets
- Refines the roles and responsibilities within the Sourcing team
- Mentors, supports and develops the team at all levels

**What you’ll bring**:

- Significant public sector procurement experience and working knowledge of EU, Public Contracts Regulations (PCR) 2015 and incoming UK procurement legislation
- Best practice procurement knowledge
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- Experienced user of strategic sourcing tools e.g. Ariba/Jaggaer/Bravo/Atamis/ Coupa
- Strong senior stakeholder and customer engagement/relationship building experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Consistent track record of building highly effective and productive teams

**It would be great if you had**:

- CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply or alternative comparable qualification
- PRINCE2

**Salary**: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum
Benefits: £5,400 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund
