Head of Sleep and Respiratory Physiology

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Senior Respiratory Physiologist to lead the Respiratory and Sleep Physiology service at Swansea Bay University Health Board.
The post is primarily based at Morriston hospital, the service provides a wide range of highly specialised Respiratory investigations, including dealing with Sleep Disorder investigations and the treatment of sleep apnoea across Tertiary, secondary and Primary care. Specialist investigation performed within Morriston include CPAP trial and follow up, Sleep study investigations, lung function testing (Spirometry, transfer factor, FeNo) Overnight oximetry, multichannel studies, fitness to fly, Methacholine challenges and CPET.

As Service Lead you will be required to demonstrate effective clinical leadership skills and expertise in the performance of a range of investigations performed by the Respiratory Department and employ high standards of skills and knowledge in diagnostic testing, interpretation, reporting and treatments in order to achieve best quality patient care. You will be responsible for the day to day management, long term planning, service development and provide learning and development opportunities.
The Service Lead will be responsible for a team of Respiratory Scientists/Physiologist and support workers across 3 sites within the health board (Morriston Hospital, Singleton Hospital, Neath Port Talbot Hospital).
