Head of Ultrasound

This post is based at the Scunthorpe General Hospital, but with responsibility for satellite scanning units associated with this site.

We are a busy, friendly department with dedicated teams of Sonographers and Consultant Radiologists, with a good working relationship with other modalities, clinicians and other service users.

We offer a broad range of Obstetric and Non Obstetric Ultrasound services, working closely with referring services to support patient pathways.

We are actively committed to CPD and PPD and encourage our Sonographers to widen their scope of practice, working with local and regional education providers to deliver formal training in support of this.

In order to maintain a continuously high standard of patient care, maximum flexibility of our workforce is necessary and therefore staff may be required to work across all three sites within the Trust if the service demands.
