How does this role contribute to our collective success?

The Broker Engagement Associate will be a key member of the Global Distribution Team, a dedicated, global function responsible for enhancing AXIS Insurance’s Strategy, enhancing relationships, identifying new opportunities, and driving strategic engagement.

Working closely with the Global Markets Head of Distribution and the Global Distribution Analyst, the Broker Engagement Associate role will support in aligning strategy, engagement, and connectivity across the London Market, providing market insights to assist in the execution of AXIS’ go to market strategy and elevating AXIS’ brand in the London Market.

What will you do in this role?
- Support AXIS’ overall strategy and key priorities by Broker in alignment with underwriting appetite and ambitions
- Develop an in depth understanding of key London Brokers and individuals for different Lines of Business and initiatives
- Build productive relationships, including connecting AXIS colleagues as key owners (contact mapping)
- Monitor broker performance against plans and specific initiatives, accelerating progress where opportune and supporting corrective actions where required.
- Support the strengthening of our knowledge of market and industry developments / evolutions
- Support insights on broker developments with a focus on strategies, financial developments, and insurance implications to inform and support relationship management and business development activities
- Support Pipeline Opportunity Management and strategic initiatives with analyses, monitoring and reporting

Key Attributes:

- Good working knowledge of the Insurance Industry
- Adept at building and maintaining strong relationships with individuals at all levels of an organisation
- Able to self-start own tasks and independently lead small projects
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Insurance Financial Statements, KPI’s and analytical concepts
- Strong analytical capabilities combined with the ability to work with structured/unstructured data
- Able to perform lookup functions, pivot tables and nested IF statements in Excel
- Experience working with Power BI as a front end user is preferred
