We are happy to consider job share, flexible working and part time hours.
The post holder should be competent to issue independent reports, provide teaching and mentorship to other team members and undertake quality control of reporting and images with in the team. Our core hours are 8 till 5, usually over a 9-day fortnight.
As part of your role we would expect you to take on some line management responsibilities. Such as organising staff rotas and performing a small number of appraisals.
Independently perform ultrasound scans on a range of outpatients and inpatients, including adult congenital heart disease patients (ACHD), recording and interpreting images obtaine
You wiill work to British Society of Echocardiography standards, and adhere to all protocols and guidelines of the societ
Vetting and triage of report
Monitor wait times and alert service managers to issues in a timely manne
Partaking in the team quality control of reports and images
Formulate detailed Echo reports to be personally verified and issued to consultants
Undertake clinical supervision and training of junior and trainee physiology staff and other professional group
Participate in Continuing Professional Development and other developmental activities, including research and clinical trial
Work with Team Leaders and the Service Manager in further developing the clinical physiology service
Maintain professional registration at all times
Be responsible for the care and maintenance of the ultrasound equipment.
