**Special Needs Assistant /newport**

You will work closely with the class teachers to provide support for a class of children. The role can be part-time, full-time however we can offer flexible days - as many days you desire.

An SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely 1.1 with students that have additional needs who require support in their learning. Working with needs such as ASD, ADHD, Sensory and/or physical needs. You will need to have understanding and patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. The ability to understand people’s reactions, active listening skill and to be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device.

**Responsibilities**:
Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities

Supporting children with SEN,

Assist teacher with resources, tidying classroom, setting up and clearing down activities

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members

Assist with classroom management and behavior management techniques

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

**Requirements**:
Proactive attitude and a good work ethic

Knowledge of various teaching methods appropriate for SEND pupils.

Hold a Right to Work (UK)

Provide professional references from previous employers

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £80.00-£95.00 per day
