We are hiring for our front of house barista role at The Hideaway Southsea. We are a multi purpose dog friendly/themed cafe with a grooming salon and photography studio attached.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies and milkshakes
- Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate espresso machines and other equipment to make quality drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Assist with food preparation if needed

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to prepare and present beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers in a friendly manner

As a Barista, you will have the opportunity to create delicious beverages while providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring that each customer receives their order promptly and accurately. In addition, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean and inviting coffee bar area.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about coffee, love dogs and have a strong attention to detail, whilst thriving in a fast-paced environment. If you enjoy working as part of a team and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.

Please note that previous experience as a barista is essential and a strong knowledge of dogs is preferred.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
