As a Local Banking Community Specialist, you will be at the forefront of the relationship between Barclays and your local community to drive societal purpose. This is a new role within Barclays, working with a network of colleagues across the UK, to ensure we manage the needs of our customers whilst maintaining community focus.

In your role you’ll have a good grasp of what the local community needs but also steer ideas of growth and development. You’ll also have the opportunity to build relationships with members of the public and important local figures, whilst promoting Barclays events. There will be an element of proactive contact with customers, to inform them of Barclay's products and services.

For this role, you need to have a good understand of the needs of the **Cardiff**and the surrounding**areas**and be able to travel between sites. You'll be confident managing your own diary and working alone, whilst being comfortable with public speaking, running events and social media.

**Monday to Sunday 7am-11pm contract**

**Salary £30,000.**

**Purpose of the role**

To provide exceptional customer service while resolving more complex customer needs/requests.

**Accountabilities**
- Execution of customer service requirements to resolve more complex, specific customer needs, and give a unique, personalised resolution for each case.
- Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate customer care processes.
- Identification of areas for improvement to provide recommendations for change in customer care processes and provide feedback and coaching for colleagues on these highlighted areas.
- Development and implementation of customer care procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain efficient operations.
- Resolution of specific customer inquiries and issues related to the bank’s products and service, including account balances, transactions and payments.
- Development and execution of reports and presentations on customer care performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice to improve customer care efficiency and effectiveness.
