Fugro is looking for a Bargemaster / Drilling Superintendent to join our Land Site Characterisation team based in Falmouth, reporting to the Technical Manager.

Working on Nearshore projects in the UK and Internationally you will be a vital member of the Site Leadership and Management Team and will oversee the safe and efficient execution of Jack Up and drilling operations in line with all Company and Site policies.

You will not only be responsible for the operation of any Jack Up Barge (JUB) but also the management of any marine crew and maintenance of all nearshore related equipment and will assign tasks to the trained personnel on-site leading by example as well as mentoring and developing the team. You must also provide the short-term planning for all operations by ensuring that the JUB has the correct equipment, spares, consumables, documentation, and methodology for ongoing works.

Health and Safety is a key focus of this role and ultimately you are responsible for the Health & Safety of everyone onboard the JUB and making sure the standards set by Fugro and our clients are adhered to.

**Who you’ll be working with**:
You will work closely with the Technical and Operations Managers, Project Managers, Vessel Supervisors, Marine and Drilling Crew to assist with the Project Execution Plan and ensure that all project activities are undertaken safely and compliant with relevant policies and procedures.

Externally you will liaise with Tug/Vessel Masters, Marine & Port Authorities, client reps and 3rd party suppliers.

**Here’s what a typical day would be like**:

- Undertake any JUB moves and manage all JUB/Drilling operations.
- Manage the drilling crew and oversee any equipment maintenance works
- In charge and responsible for all drilling operations, including all marine craft movements and operations, marine transfers, vessel bunkering and re-supplying
- Complete all relevant barge and project documentation including DPRs, JUIC forms, PPMs, Class, and vessel documentation.
- Support the professional development, training, and discipline of the marine and drilling crew, identifying and managing any training needs
- Liaise with the Vessel manager when necessary

**Who we’re looking for**:
Essential
- NVQ in Drilling Operations or Equivalent
- Supervisory experience in JUB and Marine Drilling Operations
- Demonstrable experience in a Bargemaster role
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office
- You are willing to work offshore on a rotational basis, as well from our office facilities in Falmouth, Cornwall if required

Desirable
- IJUBOA accreditation advantageous
