**Role Overview**

Based in Andoversford, Astor-Bannerman manufactures, supplies, installs and services specialist bathing and lifting systems for the disabled and elderly. We have a 25-year track record as a market leader in our field and we have an ambition to grow.

The Production Planner is responsible for smooth running of the production office, providing strong leadership with planning, scheduling and other activities at the manufacturing site. The Planning Manager is accountable for implementing, monitoring, measuring and reporting production schedules to ensure that materials and capacities are available to meet the needs of our customers whilst maintaining our KPI’s and SLA’s.

**Main functions and responsibilities**
- Monitor and review the planning schedule, ensuring the production schedule is maintained and all KPI’s & SLA’s are met.
- Managing Production Schedule and associated raising Works/Production Orders.
- Demand, Capacity and Forecast planning.
- Understand the operation process, capacity, and delivery constraints of suppliers, and site.
- Lead cross functional teams in the maintenance of critical data for planning purposes (lead time, yield, attrition, min max levels etc).
- Balance a range of critical measures (customer OTD, inventory, direct labour productivity, scrap) to drive the right outcomes for the customer and the business.
- Empower & develop team to take accountability of the plan and drive improvements to their daily processes and standard work.
- Support the introduction of new products and the continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
- Sales Order movements - rescheduling/allocating equipment, amending serial numbers, updating item master data.
- Management of various task such as kitting, stock movements, inventory adjustments, and returns.
- Dealing with a wide variety of production queries.

**The Person**
- In depth SAP or SAP Business One knowledge.
- Demonstrated background in planning management role.
- Awareness of procurement processes.
- Self-starter and quick learner.
- Versed at people management.
- Good negotiation skills.
- ‘Can do’ attitude with drive to deliver.
- Confident and dynamic personality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Resourceful, good problem solver and organised.
- An individual who is comfortable being a member of a team.
- Ability to deal with demanding situations and / or people.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
