Senior Solution Architect

Our client is an FTSE-250 eCommerce business and globally recognized brand, which has successfully disrupted its industry through digital innovation and thought-leadership. Their digital eCommerce platforms generate up to £1million in orders per hour atpeak, with over 10m subscribers to their mobile app and multiple awards to their name. Following a recent re-structure of their support team and several internal promotions, a unique opportunity has arisen for a Senior Solution Architect to join their award-winning team. As a Senior Solution Architect, you will work within delivery teams alongside Product Managers, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Testers to ensure all solutions are fit for purpose and adhere to appropriate standards and requirements in the business. **Responsibilities** - Engage with stakeholders to understand their environment and business needs. - Work alongside Product Managers to ideate, explore and define the best fit solution to their business requirements. - Lead the development of architectures for business requirements, ensuring consistency with specified Architecture standards and those agreed with InfoSec, Infrastructure, and internal customers. - Document high-level and detailed solution designs (including NFRs), that conform to enterprise technical standards and meet the "ilities". - Run design workshops with technical and non-technical participants. - Take full responsibility for the balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements within one or more parallel delivery initiatives. - Provide an assurance role, ensuring that all architecture activities and deliverables (produced in-house or externally outsourced), are produced to a high quality and are consistent with standards, policies, and strategies. - Aware of industry and technology advancements to develop proof-of-concepts that validate and justify business needs, conduct feasibility studies, and prepare/provide input to business cases. - Contribute to enterprise technology standards and policy for solution design and implementation. - Guide senior stakeholders with clear explanation to help them accept change brought about through process reengineering or technology. - Support the Lead SA with Architecture ceremonies, evolving the Capability and enforcing Architecture principles and standards. - Contribute to process improvements that yield efficiencies or improve design development (i.e quality, security and velocity), through continuous improvement of process, methodology, learning and tooling. - Lead the solution design activities across multiple workstreams, from concept, requirements, design, development, and operationalisation, to ensure deliverables meet business requirements. - Ensure accurate and effective solution approaches are defined to prevent design issues further down the solution delivery lifecycle. **Requirements**: - Working in customer-facing roles, providing consultancy and analysis services on a broad range of initiatives. - Proven background in working within Sprint teams for Agile software delivery. - Experienced in working on major projects or programme deliveries that led to organisational wide business change. - Proven experience of working with both internal and Partner teams. - Proven experience of developing and evaluating proof-of-concepts. - Working to KPIs to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement. - Experience of coaching junior Architects and technical implementation teams. - Experienced in working within PCI, GDPR and highly secure environments. - Solid Experience of the Microsoft technology stack and Azure Cloud services. - Excellent communication skills at all levels of seniority. - Excellent customer management skills.
