Aon are currently recruiting a Claims Specialist to join our Claims Advocacy Team handling Renewable Power claims) which is part of the Global Broking Centre based in London.
The Claims Specialist will be primarily responsible for assisting in the process for the notification, agreement, collection and successful settlement of a portfolio of claims within Offshore Renewable Power, including first notification of loss, triage, issuanceof processing instructions to the outsourcer, negotiation with markets, client updates, subsequent movements and liaison with placement teams, specialists, network offices, clients, underwriters and appointed authorities (loss adjusters, lawyers etc).
It will also involve contribution with colleagues and Head of Renewable Claims in setting and leading the strategy to satisfactorily conclude contentious claims in tandem with other areas of the business as necessary.

**About the Role Your impact as a Claims Specialist**:
**Claim advice**:

- Working with the Head of Renewable Claims in providing advice and guidance on coverage and perform analysis of coverage-related issues for clients to facilitate the settlement and payment of claims

**Claim negotiation and settlement**:

- Carefully handle the claims process with clients, underwriters and or their appointed legal representatives and or loss adjusters
- Facilitate the resolution of any outstanding coverage issues, and where necessary engage with other colleagues / Claims Advocates / Head of Renewable Claims / Business Unit as required
- Working alongside colleagues, learn to Coordinate discussions and, where appropriate, meetings to ensure superior level of communication between the client, underwriter and their representatives concerning the proposed settlement. Involve others as required
- Manage the payment and settlement of claims with clients and underwriters
- Where appropriate, supervise the accounting process via XBS to ensure prompt settlement

**Third party administration**:

- Engage, monitor and manage third party providers appointed by clients, underwriters or Aon (e.g. loss adjusters, lawyers, surveyors, engineers etc)

**Service co-ordination**:

- Work with other teams as necessary, to ensure that relevant information is shared as the need arises and the appropriate actions are taken to meet clients’ needs.
- Technical support and data for pre-renewal meetings, placing and renewal negotiations.
- Where appropriate advance to the relevant individuals (Team Leader or Head of Advocacy for the relevant field) within the Claims team and business units information and updates where the claim is deemed contentious or there is a potential E&O in order toobtain advice and guidance to achieve a satisfactory conclusion for the client and for Aon
