Roles at the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner (OPCC) can range from delivering education sessions in schools as part of the Violence Reduction Unit to supporting the Commissioner’s drive to provide support services to victims of crime. **The Role**
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is one of twenty areas that have an established unit and commission services to deliver a Response Strategy including capacity building, tactical changes and interventions. VRUs are a multi-agency approach designed to bring together Police, Local Government, Health, Education and the Community and Voluntary sector to tackle violent crime, and importantly, its underlying causes.
**What do I need?**
- Ability to establish and build trusted relationships with young people.
- Experience of working with young people who have complex needs.
- Three years relevant experience of delivering education to young people/adults.
- Knowledge of the school / college / training environment.
- Teaching/training qualification.
- Knowledge and understanding of key themes around violence reduction e.g. knife crime, county lines, exploitation.

Vetting Level - Recruitment Vetting (RV)
Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed. A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information and references.
