**Outreach Support Workers**

**Full Time & Part Time Available**

Housing First Belfast - Full Time 35 hrs or Part Time 17.5 hrs

Family Service Floating Support - Full Time 35 hours

Depauls Outreach services provide one to one confidential support and assisiting people who are experiencing difficulties with their tenancy and are at risk of homelessness due to alcohol and substance misuse. Our Family Service Outreach service works hard to prevent vulnerable families from becoming homeless by offering advice and support to those who have moved out of homeless services to maintain their new home.
- Providing a low threshold service to individuals who are at risk of homelessness, using harm reduction methods of practice.
- Ensuring that all service users have a needs led assessment, safety & wellbeing plan and support plan
- Offering advice and practical support across a range of issues including housing, health, safety, addictions and benefits.
- Developing and maintaining Support Plans based on the assessment of needs
- Liaising with relevant statutory & voluntary agencies, developing and maintaining professional working relationships with all stakeholders

We’re looking for someone who has
- At least 1 years paid experience, or 2 years volunteering experience, working with vulnerable adults with complex needs
- 3 GCSE’s A-C to include Maths and English or equivalent
- The ability to undertake outreach/lone working
- Good working knowledge of risk assessment and risk management processes (i.e. S/U Risk assessment, Lone Working, Activity Risk Assessments)
- A good understanding of issues presented through alcohol / drug use and issues around supporting street drinkers with problems in non-residential and non-specialist settings
- A full driving licence and access to a car insured for business purposes
