Head Housekeeper

The Perle Oban Hotel & Spa is looking for a full Time permanent Head Housekeeper

As a Head Housekeeper you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and developing the overall operations of the housekeeping department in accordance with the company’s standards, ensuring all areas of the hotel are thoroughly kept clean and tidy. You will also manage the housekeeping team efficiently to ensure staff satisfaction and optimum performance.

**Where?**

This position is based at _The Perle Oban Hotel & Spa, _in _Oban_. Perle Oban is a luxury hotel & spa located in the center of Oban that boasts beautiful views over the harbour. With Oban train station and Oban ferry terminal a stone’s throw away, it is the ideal base for exploring Scotland’s islands and highlands. This historical building built in 1882 is the perfect combination of Victorian charm and modern inspired style.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Organise employee schedules, ensure that employees receive ongoing training and hold staff meetings to keep employees updated on all procedures and policies
- Ensure that all the shifts are properly covered, ensuring team member productivity and room cleanliness
- Ensure bedrooms and public areas are maintained to the highest-level of cleanliness and hygiene
- Ensure correct levels of stock including chemicals, consumables and linen are kept at a correct level by using a par stocking process.
- Work closely with the linen supplier (if applicable) ensuring counts and orders are placed in a timely manner. Ensure sufficient levels of linen are in line with the hotel’s occupancy, there should be no overstocked or understocked linen items.
