**We are searching for our next Patient Care Assistants at Miller & Swan Veterinary Practice - Elgin**
We are looking to recruit a new Patient Care Assistant for our fantastic practice in Elgin. We need someone who is hardworking, caring and has a passion for animal welfare.
This role is a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months. Hours are 37.5 per week. Shifts will be flexible: 08:30-17:00 or 09:30-18:00 - Rota will be known with plenty of notice.
Our new team member will be able to work alone and as part of the wider team of Vets, Nurses and support staff. We strive to deliver gold standard veterinary care and the very best service for our animals and clients, every single time.
Some of the role will also be to cover the reception area and have reception duties.
**The main job roles include**:
- Patient care during their stay at the practice. This includes periods before and after surgery.
- Communicating effectively with Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses.
- Maintaining medical and surgical equipment
- Running laboratory tests, such as blood and urine
- Keeping the surgery clean and tidy
- Manning reception, greeting clients, taking payments and answering the telephone.
