**Full time position for set shift pattern and /or covering sickness and holidays, must have own transport to get to required location, company vehicle provided for the shifts requiring cover.**

**_40 Hours a week guaranteed, recent DBS and experience would be beneficial_**

Operating in Sussex driving one of our designated vehicles either Wheelchair accessible or saloon car.

Your role is to assist with the transportation of patients to and from home and medical appointments to various locations with the South East, this does include London.

We operate 6 days a week from 5am to midnight on a set rota provided to you at the start of your employment, if you are employed as a cover driver you must agree to be available to cover ANY shift pattern required by HCS management. This may include occasional Sundays normally at the Christmas period only.

You will be trained in all aspects of patient welfare, safeguarding and driving skills including the use and loading of wheelchairs

You will be required to complete this training prior to starting employment with HCS which is done at interview stage therefore you must be available for the whole day. You will also be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check at your own expense (£50) and join the update service once completed, again done at interview.

You will also be required to read and confirm as such you have read ALL policy documents provided to you by HCS, sign all relevant confidentiality documents to comply with CQC requirements.

You will be required to complete vehicle checks daily and report were necessary and complete weekly timesheets to ensure you are paid correctly and we invoice correctly.

You are required to use a PDA unit supplied with the vehicle correctly recording all stages of your working day.

Your operating location will be your home address therefore you are required to leave home within 5 mins of your set shift pattern and return home no more than 15 minutes prior to the end shift time.

All vehicles must be kept clean and supplied with essential cleaning/welfare kit this will be reimbursed where required. (Cleaning is paid at 1 Hour extra per week), and to maintain sufficient fuel levels at all times (Fuel card supplied).

You will be required to report any incidents to HCS management at the time and complete any necessary paperwork required by HCS or SCAS.

You MUST be able to demonstrate high levels of communication across all levels especially with patients and their confidence.

You must comply with current GDPR laws as well as Health & Safety legislation.

You will be required to work a minimum 40 hours per week or whatever shift pattern you are offered at a rate of £9.70 p/h. Holidays are accrued April to March and must be taken during this time only when accrued.

A full contract will be provided after completion of 3 months’ probation.
