Pebbles Care has a new permanent opportunity for a Peripatetic Residential Child Care Worker to work 45 hours per week, (approx. 3 shifts per week with a degree of flexibility).

This role is ideally suited to someone who can work flexibly throughout Monday to Sunday however, we will consider applicants who can only work 5 or 6 days out of 7 due to commitments such as studying.

**Your role will involve**
- working as a team and building long lasting relationships with our children and young people
- safeguarding children and young people from risks at home and in the wider community
- facilitating family contact
- creating a warm and comforting environment,
- having fun, going on days out and encouraging participation in local activities and hobbies
- shopping, cooking, cleaning and promoting the importance of education
- creating and following routines and setting clear boundaries

**Desirable Qualities include**:

- Previous experience in Residential Child Care is extremely beneficial
- An SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma / relevant to Children and Young People's Residential workforce, or working towards.
- An interest in pursuing relevant Child Care qualifications,
- Familiar with the
- Codes of Practice set out by regulatory bodies, i.e. SSSC,
- An existing PVG / DBS certificate

**Remuneration and benefits**

Your salary is £22,230.00 to £23,400.00 per annum (expected take home salary) based on 45 hours per week including paid rest breaks and sleeps.

Shift patterns may vary depending on the requirements of the home and the site you work at. The nature of the peripatetic role requires you to work in multiple sites within your geographical area. A shift pattern will be agreed in advance with your line Manager.
