Maintenance Handyperson

**Contract**Length**: 8th August - 2nd September
**Hours**: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 5:00 [35hrs per week], with 30 minute lunch [unpaid] & 2 x 15minute breaks [paid]

MSL are leading specialists in the manufacture of bespoke magnetic shielding.

Based in Staplehurst, England, our manufacturing facility is fully equipped with the latest technology to provide our customers with the highest level of service and quality. All of our manufacturing processes, including heat treatment, are integrated in our production plant.

**About the Maintenance Handyperson Role**:
This temporary position is for a period of 4 weeks [from Monday 8th August until Friday 2nd September], to assist in set up and tidy our new factory site ahead of our new building opening.

**Key Tasks/Duties of this role**:

- Painting & decorating where required
- Responsible for assisting in cleaning up the site & removing rubbish
- Recycling packaging, materials, etc into the relevant recycling facilities
- Unpacking & making up flat pack furniture, setting new furniture up in the relevant areas within the new building
- Ensuring waste recycling maintained
- Assistance to maintenance team of basic duties and not limited to the above, plus any other tasks required, under their supervision

**Essential Skills**:

- Hands on, proactive approach
- Enjoying being part of a team
- Capable of assembling flat pack furniture where required
- Team player possessing good inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Physically fit, due to the fact there is some lifting required in this role

**Desirable Skills**:

- Organised, outgoing and approachable in nature as you will be dealing with all levels within the company
