Suffolk Libraries is an independent and charitable society which runs Suffolk’s public library service and prison libraries in several counties including Suffolk, Bedfordshire and Nottinghamshire.

We are looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to join our friendly team as Relief covering our Midlands Prison Libraries. We are interested in someone who:
- Has an aspiration to deliver great customer service
- Can demonstrate appropriate and effective communication skills with the aim of building positive and supportive relations with our customers, team, and community
- Has the ability to work as an effective team member
- Understands Suffolk Libraries services and what it delivers
- Has sufficient emotional resilience to work in what can be a challenging but highly rewarding environment
This role has no guaranteed hours and will involve weekend work and cover for any permanent staff absences due to annual leave, training or sickness.
If you have experience in a customer facing role, enjoy helping people, have a willingness to work within a team in a busy environment and an interest in books and computers, we would like to hear from you.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo Prison security vetting checks before any appointment can be confirmed
The rate of pay for this position commences at £9.50 per hour.
