**About the role** The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) is a crucial role in making Zellis a success; champion of new product innovations and responsible for providing our sales team with the information required to sell more products and services.

Integral to this role is developing messaging and market positioning that educates internal audiences, install base and net new prospects. The PMM partners with internal communications, campaign managers and the PR manager to develop content for campaignsand engaging marketing programmes to reach the target audience for each product or service to drive an increase in sales revenue.

Working closely with the User Group and other key install base customers, the PMM will be the champion of the voice of the customer, being knowledgeable about customer needs and experiences to feed insight back to the organisation and to help grow the usercommunity into a powerful fan base.

Key responsibilities include:

- Develop product messaging that differentiates new products from others in the market.
- Communicate the value of new products to the sales team and develop sales tools that facilitate the selling process.
- Where relevant, plan and take part in the launch of new products collaborating with relevant departments in such launches.
- Brief the Marketing and Sales teams about new products and take part in presentations.
- Through interviews, surveys, focus groups and sales data, gain insight into customer use of current products, untapped opportunities and buyer personas.
- Create product content such as case studies, website copy and blog posts (working closely with head of product and technology).
- Speak and present about products to both external and internal audiences.
- Research competitor offerings and react when appropriate. Formalise findings to continually educate the wider business, formalise and share counter proposals to aid the selling process.
- Develop a strategy to evolve the role of the User Group. Deliver a plan of activity to enhance the output for all parties, setting, reporting and delivering to agreed KPIs.
- Along with the wider Marketing team and Sales, ensure all activities drive to the core business KPIs of revenue and customer success.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Demonstrable success in similar Product Marketing roles, ideally within the HR & Payroll software sector.
- Collaborative skills: As a Product Marketing Manager you will have to work with teams across the organisation. This includes sales, marketing, product management and senior executives.
- Communication skills: Exceptional speaking and writing abilities are key to success in this role. You will frequently have to present about new products and write engaging copy, telling the 'story’ of products, for various marketing channels.
- Research skills: A crucial part of the role is gaining insight into customer needs and experiences. Analysis of data, surveys and customer interviews will be part of this mix.
- Understanding Customer Journey as it pertains to the buyer journey.
- Able to work autonomously, putting in place what you need to get the job done.
- Able to deal with ambiguity.
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
- Confident presenting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
