Job Title: Relief Milker/General Farm Assistant

Location: Hewish, Weston Super Mare

As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Milk Relief/General Farm Assistant.

Milk Relief:

- Assist in the daily milking routines, ensuring the health and well-being of the dairy herd.
- Operate milking equipment and monitor milk quality to meet industry standards.
- Provide relief milking in the absence of regular milking staff.

General Farm Duties:

- Undertake general farm tasks such as feeding, bedding, and maintaining cleanliness in animal housing areas.
- Assist in routine health checks for livestock and report any concerns to the farm manager.
- Contribute to the implementation of herd health and welfare programs.

Equipment Operation:

- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment as needed.
- Carry out routine checks to ensure proper functioning of equipment.

Record Keeping:

- Maintain accurate records related to milking procedures, animal health, and other relevant farm activities.
- Collaborate with the farm manager to update and organise records as required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in dairy farming or related agriculture work is desirable.
- Familiarity with milking equipment and farm machinery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.

Working Hours:
The working hours will be determined based on the farm's operational needs. Flexibility in scheduling is required.
