Our clients vary between the medical, housing, charity, travel, waste, and public sectors. Although they might differ in industry, they collectively share similar values and all work with Millrace to market their purpose.

As we grow within these sectors, and strive to communicate messages that really matter, we are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to help support our retained client work, and one-off projects.

We strive for excellence at Millrace and our design function plays a big part in this. Joining a small team means you’ll be involved in all elements of the design function whilst learning from a variety of marketing content creators, including a Senior Graphic Designer.

The work you’ll undertake will vary from creating client social media campaigns, producing ongoing client branded collateral (such as brochures, adverts, internal branded products), designing marketing collateral for campaigns (mailshots, case studies, etc) and producing basic motion such as short-form GIFs for social media activity. For the day-to-day activity, you’ll work closely with brand guidelines, and for the bigger campaigns you’ll have the opportunity to further flex your design muscles developing creative outcomes with our Senior Graphic Designer.

We’re looking for someone who is happy to get involved, learn, and grow. Motion Graphics is becoming a popular form of content, so ideally you’ll be keen to evolve your skills in this area. Once you’re settled, you will have full ownership of some of our clients day-to-day activity, but rest assured you’ll have full support from our Senior Graphic Designer, and a friendly and motivated team

We are growing organically, and you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects for both Millrace and our client base.

You may like to know that:

- Culture plays a big part at Millrace and the team are approachable, close knit, and truly care about the work they produce.
- Generally, we work 9-5 with three days based in our office location in Llanishen, Cardiff. But, until you are settled in the role, you’ll be expected to work in the office Monday-Friday.
- Annual leave is 26 days (3 to be used for Christmas shut down) plus bank holidays.
- We are about “People and Planet” and have several accreditations including Real Living Wage and B Corp Pending status.
- Salary: £19,500

You must:

- Be more than comfortable using Adobe; Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro.
- Have a degree in Graphic Communication (or a similar discipline)

It would be advantageous to have:

- Experience in motion (even if it’s been part of your University achievements)
- Video editing skills
