Production Operative

We are looking for two Production Operatives to join the UK’s leading ground engineering and geotechnical contractor. **What you'll be doing**
- Working as part of a small team producing welded steel cages for dayshift to cast concrete piles. Operating an automated welding machine to produce cages of various lengths and sizes and preparing moulds ready to be cast with concrete.
- To be Health and Safety conscious and aware of any impact your actions may be having on the environment.
- Work as part of a small flexible team, primarily producing steel wire cages for precast piles but to also occasionally undertake other functions and responsibilities that meet the needs of department.
- To meet production targets set daily to ensure processes run without any unplanned downtime and efficiently.
- Keeping records of shift performance and downtime.
- To be reliable, dependable and a good timekeeper.
- Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard.
**Who we're looking for** **_(person specification)_
- Basic numeracy and literacy
- Previous experience of a production environment.
- Previous use of overhead cranes, forklift and/or any welding experience
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to work flexibly to support the overall aims of the team and changing priorities.
- Personable good communicator who is a team player and gets on well with others
- Eligible to work and live in the UK.
**What you’ll get in return**

- Hours of work are 50 hours per week Monday to Friday.
- Hours of work are typically 6:00pm to 5:00am Monday to Friday, however flexibility and weekend work are required
- 22 days holiday plus bank/public holidays.
